![]() node colour mapped from a numerical weight. et al., 2003), a functional mapper syntax is provided to map particular style properties based on element data-e.g. Similar to the Cytoscape desktop app ( Shannon P. Selectors and classes are supported in order to map element state to style. Stylesheets: Stylesheets are used to specify the visual style of elements. Graph theory algorithms: Several well-known graph theory algorithms-such as connectivity search, shortest path, minimum spanning tree, minimum cut, ranking and centrality measures-are included. Graph traversal: Graph traversal functions are provided, which are useful for both user interface interactions and programmatic graph analysis. This enables apps to provide highly interactive graphs for the user. Mutable graphs: The graph can be manipulated by adding, removing, or modifying the state of graph elements. Graph types: Cytoscape.js supports several types of graphs, including traditional graphs, directed graphs, undirected graphs, multigraphs and hypergraphs (with compound nodes, but not yet with hyperedges). Some core functions take collections as input.Ĭytoscape.js features include, but are not limited to, the following: A collection has its own API that can be used to filter, traverse, perform operations on and get data about the elements in the collection. Each of these functions returns a collection, a set of graph elements. Core functions are available to access graph elements. It represents the graph and is used to run layouts, alter the view, and perform other operations on the graph as a whole. The core is a developer’s main entry point into the library. The Cytoscape.js architecture is composed of the core and the collection. Similarly, graph elements are analogous to HTML DOM elements-they are styled by the stylesheets and programmatically accessible via the JS core API. Styling in Cytoscape.js is specified using CSS-like stylesheets, sharing as much syntax as possible with CSS. There is a learning curve but the TW forum is very active and extremely helpful.A GeneMANIA gene–gene interaction network automatically laid out and visualised with Cytoscape.js, showing interaction strength (edge thickness), interaction type (colour), multiple edges between nodes, protein score (node size) defined using a stylesheetįor increased ease of use, the library shares several concepts with the HTML + CSS + JS web model. TW/TB/TM is extremely customisable, and, to my mind, unequalled for Zettelkasten work. ![]() There is a ready-made combination of TB and TM called TiddlyRoam. The Tiddlymap is a mindmap type graphical representation of the connections between notes - great to discern patterns and develop thought routes. Changes in note 2 are reflected in note 1. Another feature that is extremely useful for Zettelkasten work is transclusion: linking from note 1 to note 2 and showing the contents from note 2 in note 1 without having to copy/paste. Moreover, TB has the bi-directionality of Roam. Now that I have been involved in Zettelkasten en seen comments here and elsewhere, I cannot imagine how anyone can live without automatic adjustment of ALL links in the Zettelkasten when a note title is changed. TB is essentially TiddlyWiki, but with the Relink plug-in standard. In fact, I am surprised TiddlyWiki isn't used more by Zettelkasteners.įor those looking for a private, standalone, portable Zettelkasten tool I have not come across anything better than open source TiddlyBlink with the Tiddlymap plug-in. It is really useful for visually navigating notes. It is also possible to edit the layout and connections manually in map. For those using TiddlyWiki there is a great plug-in called TiddlyMap, which adds support for this. On July 2nd 2020, a new Actual Play side series, called "WarHams", debuted following the adventures of four low-ranked members of the Bro Trip crusade, via games of Cubicle 7's edition of Wrath and Glory. The series occurs in the same universe as Karl the Deranged's series "Chaos Descends" and Eliphas the Inheritor's trilogy " Behemoth ". In October 2017 the series saw a small spin-off called Brotrip 40,000 depicting the journey of Corvus Corax and Vulkan as they make their way to Terra, stopping to see the galaxy as they go. Season 3 began with a two episode premiere on March 3rd, 2016. Season 2 has been completed with help from Karl the Deranged. It's a very comedic take on the 40k universe, though itself can serve as an introduction to its complex lore.Įach season is composed of ten episodes. Initially, the series mostly focuses on a kind of "question per episode" format, with the Emperor as a Fish out of Temporal Water Catching Up on History, either asking or answering a question about the setting in rather colorful language (such as what the hell the Warp is), though slowly the overarching plot begins to emerge. The story follows the Emperor as he tries to "unfuck" the galaxy, his personal caretaker "Little Kitten" (and later others) as the other half of a Double Act, and intertwined subplots such as the Inquisition trying to enforce their own martial law on Holy Terra. ![]() colorful critiques about the universe as well as its numerous Retcons over the years, and begins some changes. ![]() Hilarity Ensues as the Emperor proceeds to have some. If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device (informally abbreviated to TTS by fans) is a series of online videos made by Bruva Alfabusa, asking the question of what exactly would happen if the Emperor of Mankind could ask about the current state of the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The Emperor: I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT. ![]() The Custodian: At last! Our glorious lord can command us once aga. The Custodian: My divine lord, we have managed to implement a text-to-speech device to your glorious Golden Throne! Please, lord, speak to us! ![]() Higgs states that opening Marble was the most difficult experience of his life as trying to control the live fire and temperatures were a problem. But they were able to tame the beast and get the fire under control to create the award-winning restaurant that they have today. What’s David Higgs’ secret to award-winning restaurants? Although the menu and experience will be different, visitors will know that they’re in a Marble restaurant. ![]() Higgs’ whole family is Greek and he wants to bring in that Mediterranean feel to the new Cape Town restaurant. However, Marble aims for consistency at a premium level with their food and service. The food is simple as their menu can’t be at a fine dining level due to the sheer number of customers. It fosters a sense of community that’s different to other restaurants. The fire attracts people and brings them together to chat and take photos. They cook on a live fire with wood and charcoal. Irene creates incredible canvases to work on and all of their restaurants – Zioux and Marble – have received style awards for their aesthetic. Although the menu and look can’t be the same, the Marble blueprint will be there. The cocktail bar is the first touchpoint for Marble’s patrons as mixology has become an important part of the dining experience due to its experimental nature. Their incredible team understands the role that they play in this sensory experience. Everything is based around great relationships and excellent service. Will it be the same vibe as Marble Joburg?ĭavid Higgs says that Marble is about an experience. We’re looking forward to seeing what’s in store for Cape Town’s own Marble. Marble has become an institution in Joburg, serving about 300-400 people a day. ![]() It’ll be separate from the other restaurants at the Waterfront to create its own special spot. Marble Cape Town is going to be special with full views of the waterfront and Table Mountain. Building will begin in June/July with the expected open date to be in November 2023. They’ve signed the lease to set up Marble at the Waterfront. NovemChef and restaurateur David Higgs teased at the Eat Out Woolworths Awards that Marble is coming to Cape Town next year. |
